About the role

Datamine is seeking a Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You’ll liaise with external accountants and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Your work will help maintain financial integrity and support decision-making across the business.

A week in the life of a Bookkeeper might involve:

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment runs
• Running payroll and maintaining accurate employee records
• Reconciling general ledger entries and bank statements
• Coordinating expense accounts and processing employee expense claims
• Updating cashflow figures to support reporting and forecasting
• Liaising with external accountants and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance
• Ensuring financial records are accurate, up to date, and securely maintained
• Identifying and flagging potential issues or risks in financial processes

You would fit right in at Datamine if you have:

• A degree or relevant qualification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts roles
• Advanced competence with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and MS Excel
• A high level of accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively
• A proactive mindset and commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality
