Marketing Coordinator
Keep Datamine's marketing running, side by side with our Founder. CRM, eDMs, content, and reporting – bring organisation, numbers, AI, and a voice.
Datamine has championed data, analytics and AI for over 30 years. As organisations across Australia and New Zealand increasingly invest in AI and data-driven decisions, we're seeking a Marketing Coordinator to keep our marketing machine running. You'll run our CRM and lead management, write and send our regular eDMs, keep our website and LinkedIn current, and coordinate media partners and events. You'll also report on what marketing is delivering and run improvement projects that make it work better.
At Datamine, we aim to give people power, through the ethical use of technology, to make decisions that transform their work, lives, and communities for the better. We collaborate closely with our clients to leverage insights and provide organisations with proven, repeatable success in this area. We thrive on making a difference.
This is a full-time role based in our Parnell office, with most of the week spent in the office.
About the role
This is a hands-on role in a small marketing team, working closely with our Founder. You'll start with the day-to-day, such as CRM, eDMs, and the processes that keep marketing on track, and grow from there into reporting, planning, and making recommendations. You'll own your work and the numbers behind it, make everyday decisions with confidence, and bring bigger calls forward for sign-off. You'll share ideas and ask questions along the way.
As you evolve in the role, and we better understand your strengths, Datamine will work with you to shape your future path. This role suits someone who is highly organised, comfortable with numbers, and an everyday user of AI, and who enjoys continually improving the way they work to achieve better results.
At Datamine, we’re all individuals. You’ll find no boxes here. In fact, one of our values is “don’t just tick the box!”
What a day may look like
Managing the marketing inbox and HubSpot, keeping contact and company data accurate, and tracking leads as they come in
Writing, building, and sending our regular eDMs, using AI and our templates
Getting content such as case studies and guides to a strong first draft, working with Dataminers as subject experts
Briefing designers, writers, and agencies, and making sure what comes back is right
Reporting on how marketing is performing, and turning the numbers into recommendations
Supporting Sales with content they can use, and making sure warm leads reach them quickly
Posting on LinkedIn, updating the website, and coordinating media partners and events
Running improvement projects that make marketing simpler and faster, and documenting how it's done
Working with your direct team and the wider Datamine team to keep learning, improving, and getting constructive feedback along the way
What you'll bring
A business degree, such as commerce, economics, accounting, or management, with good grades. Marketing papers are a plus, not a requirement
Up to about two years' work experience, or practical experience of any kind if you're a recent graduate – part-time, holiday work, internships, or your own projects. We're interested in what you've done and what you've learned from it
Strong organisational skills. You love a plan, juggle several things without dropping the detail, and follow through without being chased
Comfort with numbers. You enjoy turning data into a clear insight, and an insight into a recommendation
Everyday AI use. You use AI for drafting, research, analysis, and getting admin done faster, and you pick up new tools quickly
Clear writing. You write concisely in plain English, and take feedback on your drafts well
Experience with HubSpot or another CRM, Canva, or website editing is a bonus, not a requirement
A team-first mindset. You enjoy supporting others, thrive on collaboration, and love celebrating shared successes
A growth mentality. You're curious, eager to learn, and ready to build your skills while adding value along the way
